Grand Cayman is the largest of the three islands known as the Cayman Islands and is a tourist hot spot with a variety of beach combing activities, diving opportunities, and wild life/marine life exhibits.
George Town is the capital of Grand Cayman and a variety of fast food restaurants, nightclubs, and resorts lie in the western side along with the Owen Roberts International Airport while local cuisine is found in the east. The island itself is known as an "ironshore" which is limestone infringed with marine fossils. The highest point above sea level is 24 meters. No fresh water is located on-shore in the form of lakes or rivers, so most of the water has to be shipped or they have to de-salt the ocean water by way of catchments. Whether planning a romantic getaway to Grand Cayman via the Owen Roberts International Airport or discovering the many wildlife exhibits in the area, you can enjoy a cultural, educational, and invigorating stay in the Cayman Islands.
