This large park stretches from Mexico down to the coastline off of Honduras, and is home to 85% of Cozumel's dive sites. One of the local dive sites inside the Parque Marino de Cozumel is the San Francisco Reef. Uniquely, the reef runs for about a half mile, and is split into three distinct sections that are separated by yards of sand. This is a rather shallow dive site, with a maximum depth of about fifty feet. The colorful reef is largely populated by sponges, grouper, clown fish, angelfish, and more.
