Located on Costera Sur Highway, Hogtown Café is one of those places you ought to visit when in Cozumel. This isn't one of those high-end restaurants for a fancy dinner or lunch. But it's a great café for a lazy eat or a quick grub. It offers some great breakfast spots, opening into the Eastern coast of Cozumel. The fare is mostly Mexican and Canadian. You get pancakes, fries, bacons and omelets. The lunch consists of salad, lasagnas, breads, hamburgers and other local delicacies. The food is reasonably priced and the drinks on offer are more than decent. You could either come down and enjoy the food at the café or pack a lunch for a picnic by the coast. This place remains open for most part of the day and is close to Villa Blanca Hotel. The café has special menu on local holidays and carnivals. The service is great and is neither rushed nor too slow. However, the place could get quite crowded and you may've to wait a little bit on such occasions. There's also Papa Hog's Scuba Emporium and Mama Hog's Scuba boutique located close to Hogtown Café. These two shops are havens for sea divers; they have equipment of every sort and some memorabilia too. Since Hurricane Wilma caused considerable damage to Cozumel, some of the places have either been redone or are not standing any more. You need to check if Hogtown Café is still around and if it's, you should head down to the place. The café is located south of San Miguel and is a nice place to be at, on a holiday.
