Mezcalitos Bar & Restaurant in Cozumel, Mexico is a place that was started as a result of a dream. Manual Lewis (Mezcalitos) had a dream at a young age of starting a small bar and grill. Although he went to medical school and became a doctor in a village in Mexico, his dream lived on until he and his wife built their first bar and grill little by little, piece by piece. This first place was only 12'X12', had 15 stools, a small bar and an outdoor grill. The food and service was excellent and the place was loved by everyone that stopped by. Unfortunately, through the years, hurricanes destroyed the restaurant as well as the island. Each time Manual rebuilt a little bigger and better until it came to be the excellent place it is today. Tourists from all over the world come here to visit, eat and have fun. They've started many trends here at Mezcalitos including the "Show me your boobs" sign, "NEKED BEACH", t-shirt collections, family albums and the "Mother of all Margaritas". Their Mother of Margaritas is a drink that is famous at Mezcalitos and one you won't want to drink too many of at one time! Other favorites include the Mezcalitos Super Shrimp platter and the half-pound Gilligan's burger.
When you stop at Mezcalitos Bar & Restaurant, you can eat inside, lay on the beach, take a siesta in one of their hammocks, play beach comb or their famous ring tossing game. If you're a fan of Jimmy Buffet (who's not?), you can listen to his music all day there.
