Mr. Sancho's Beach Club is a
restaurant, bar, and watersports center in the beach resort town of
Cozumel, Mexico. This establishment is favored by a wide range of
vacationers, from families, to college students, to young couples
seeking to get away from it all.
The restaurant is located along a strip
of one of the famous white sand beaches of Cozumel. From the shade of
the ramada under which patrons can sit and dine, the Pacific ocean is
immediately visible. There is almost nothing between the restaurant
patrons and the ocean, except of course for the beach. The ocean
water is an unreal turquoise, a shade all but unimaginable for those
who are used to the appearance of the ocean in the more northernly
parts of America.
As befitting a restaurant located in
such a tranquil setting, Mr. Sancho's Beach club boasts a profoundly
relaxed atmosphere. Hammocks stretch off to the side of the main
dining area, many of them containing content and sleepy restaurant
patrons. The food ranges from Mexican to American, to a fusion of the
two. Mexican-American favorites such as nachos and the ever-popular
guacamole plate are available. Beer is served at the bar.
A short distance away, Mr. Sancho's
Beach Club runs a watersports center. From there, visitors can
arrange to kayak, jet ski, or snorkel in the ocean. There are also
glass-bottom boat tours, and even land-based activities such as a
trampoline.
Mr. Sancho's Beach Club tends to be a
favorite with tourists because, in addition to all of these
offerings, the beach club has no admission fee. Visitors need only
pay for the food or individual club activities--they can hang out at
this relaxing, thoroughly pleasant location at no charge.
