The Plaza Central in Cozumel, Mexico is where a lot of the town's action takes place. There are events held all-round the year. Live music every Sunday night at this place called "La Plaza" brings in multitudes of locals. Entry to this weekly event is free and you can feel the bonhomie in the air. This hub of the city's activities is hardly any distance from the ferry docks and is part of the Parque Benito Juarez and Avenue. There are shoppers, tourists and locals throughout the day checking out the shops selling antiques, art and crafts, apparel and just about anything or eating at the many restaurants. There are also bars and coffee shops that serve local specials and the regular fare. Dia de la Constitucion or the day when the Mexican constitution came into being is one of those rare days when the Plaza Central is closed. There is Fiesta de Santa Cruz and Feria de Cedral in May. This is followed by the festivals of San Pedro and San Pablo in June and the Fiesta de San Miguel in September.
